Residents recommend visitors park on the outskirts of the 'main route' and walk in to enjoy the lights. Please be aware that if you chose to drive the route, the driving traffic can get very heavy during the weekends and the closer it is to December 25th.
Skip the traffic by parking on Pacific Coast Highway, Calle Mayor or Prospect, and walk to Robert Road, just west of Calle Mayor. If you want to take photos, a walking tour is a must. There is always a diverse array of themes on display from military, Christian, Jewish, Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Frozen etc. so you’re bound to find something you like.
